How does a conflict mediation process begin?

Once the first contact has been established, the mediator meets the client to analyse the dispute. At this stage relevant issues are discussed e.g. Who are the conflicting parties? Who is the contact person in the organization? According to the contact person, how did the dispute arise? He is involved personally? What measures have been taken to date? Are the conflicting parties open to a mediation session? Based on this we develop a proposal to deal with the conflict mediation process which is specified and agreed upon with the parties.
